Hello and welcome to the Berkshire Riding Centre Ltd and to www.brc.uk.com.

We have designed this website to give you a good overview of the Centre. If you are new to us, then hopefully this site will describe who we are, what we stand for and what services and facilities we offer. If you already know us the site is to keep you up-to-date about events, clinics etc.

We opened our new reception centre in 2008 and the new training centre was opened this year. The reception centre has proved very popular. Do use it to book in, pay your bill or just wait while your child or freind have their lesson and watch them through the large windows. Its' heated so you'll stay warm. The new training centre will host lot's of new programmes, so watch this space to see what may appeal to you.

Lesson/ Course Payment: do note payment must be made at time of booking a lesson or a course. Also note our policy on refunds/ cancellation:

Lessons: refunds/ booking changes are only allowed with more than 24 hours notice.

Courses: refunds are only given with more than two weeks notice.

Note: change to refund policy - you must present a valid receipt (till receipt or credit card receipt) to claim a refund.

Group lessons evenings: We run group lessons most evenings starting at 6pm or 6:30pm for those of you who can't make it during the day because of work commitments. However they are not all full. Call to participate in these, and like many maybe make it a regular fixture? Most are walk, trot, canter some are jumping - call to find out what makes sense for you. Call 01344-884992.

E&T/ Stage IV Training - This is a new course run by Robert Pickles, F.B.H.S. at the Centre. Call Rosie for details - 01344-884992.

NEW: Summer programme of courses leading to BHS progressive riders tests - learn how to look after a pony or horse and about riding. Full details now on course page. Run every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in July and August (s.t. demand). 2pm-4pm. Call now to book or ask any questions you may have - 01344-884992.

Stable Management Courses available - aimed at different levels , individual or in groups - see courses page or call. Stage 1/2 one hour programmes held every Saturday at 12pm.

Introduction to Horse Riding: Also, whilst not Pony Club, from time to time we do run single day introduction to horse riding sessions for potential young riders and this is detailed on the Pony Club page. 10am - 2pm, £50 per person, during school holidays and lot's of fun. Next Dates: August 3rd & August 19th.

Reception Centre

You can book here for lessons, pay your bill or just wait inside and watch your child , or whoever, having their lesson in comfort.

Training Centre:

We have now completed the new training room with internet, audio visual facilities etc, ideal for the training programmes we run - watch this space for information on training programmes that may appeal to you. See courses page or events page for details.

Stables in barn - upgrade:

The refurbishment of the stables in the barn was completed mid 2008 and look great - come and see for yourself.

Haybarn new build - We have erected a new Haybarn in the corner of the field alongside the car park. This is designed to hold a years supply of hay to ensure a) we have the supply we need and b) have hay of a consistent quality. For safety reasons the barn is out of bounds and we would ask all visitors to ensure they and their party respect this.

Horse Loan: Would you like to (almost) own a horse, but not actually have to buy one! From time to time we are able to arrange a loan on one of our school horses. Note : this is only available to those who regularly take lessons with us.

For less than half the full-livery rate (£250) one of our horses would be allocated to you, whilst we would still use the horse for lessons, you would be guaranteed 12 hours riding a month - including a weekly lesson. As a livery client you would be entitled to our discounted lesson rate.

Contact Rosie if you are interested. Look upon this as a minimum three month commitment. Payment is monthly in advance by standing order.

Birthday Party: do you want to organise a birthday party for your daughter or son? Call Kristy, our party co-ordinator- who can help arrange a unique birthday party to mark that special day. Children must be 6 or over. Call on 01344-884992 to discuss. Note we can only offer Sunday afternoons. If you get our answer machine, leave a message and Kristy will get back to you quickly.

Radio Berkshire were at the Centre recently making a live broadcast on riding.

Indoor School Watering System:

You might be wondering what the two large tanks are at the car park side of the indoor school?

They collect rain water from the roof of the indoor school. This is feeds automatic sprinklers which are hidden in the wooden surrounds of the indoor school.

Livery:

We have full and schooling liveries available now. Keep your horse at the Centre and have access to all the Centre’s facilities as part of the package.

Shows:

We run frequent British Dressage shows and others. As you will see from the facilities page we have the right surfaces to make your competition days a success.

However we are popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
