Hello and welcome to www.brc.uk.com.
We have designed this website to give you a good overview of the Centre. If you are new to us, then hopefully this site will describe who we are, what we stand for and what services and facilities we offer. If you already know us the site is to keep you up-to-date, let you know about shows, events, clinics etc.

We recently opened our new reception and training centre which has proved very popular. Do use it to book in, pay your bill or just wait while your child or freind have their lesson and watch them through the large windows. Its' heated so you'll stay warm.
Email: Whilst we've always had email for the Centre, we haven't always had an internet connection on the yard. Well we do now, so feel free to make email bookings for lessons, send messages to the yard etc. Send them to info@brc.uk.com.

Riding & Road safety - The 2008 schedule is now complete but the 2009 schedule is now available - see courses page for future dates. The final 2008 programme with a November 30th exam date is now in operation - this course is full.

Introduction to Horse Riding: Also, whilst not Pony Club, we are organising some single day introduction to horse riding sessions for potential young riders and this is detailed on the Pony Club page. Discount for Pony Club members.
Risk assessment - not everyones favourite topic but an important one when dealing with horses and horse care. BRC has developed assessments of all the risks assocated with riding horses, caring for horses etc. All staff need to be fluent with these, livery clients need to be aware and we encourage other to also read them. A copy of the risk assessment is available to read in hard copy form in the office, or is downloadable in Word doc format here - see facilities page.

New Reception / training Centre You can now book here for lessons, pay your bill or just wait inside and watch your child , or whoever, having their lesson in comfort. For tea and coffee help yourself, we operate an honour bar system just leave 30p in the tin. Alternatively cold drinks are available from the vending machine located just outside the office. From time to time courses will also be run from here. Stables in barn - upgrade: The refurbishment of the stables in the barn is now complete and they look great - come and see for yourself. We now have six stables, a tack room, wash area and storage area, all on a drained solid base.
Horse Loan: Would you like to (almost) own a horse, but not actually have to buy one! From time to time we are able to arrange a loan on one of our school horses. Note : this is only available to those who regularly take lessons with us. For less than half the full-livery rate (£250) one of our horses would be allocated to you, whilst we would still use the horse for lessons, you would be guaranteed 12 hours riding a month - including a weekly lesson. As a livery client you would be entitled to our discounted lesson rate. Contact Rosie if you are interested. Look upon this as a minimum three month commitment. Payment is monthly in advance by standing order. Present Idea: Are you at a loss for ideas? Why not give a riding lesson voucher from the Berkshire Riding Centre to that special person? If you get our answer machine, leave a message and we will get back to you quickly. Radio Berkshire were at the Centre recently making a live broadcast on riding.
Indoor School Watering System: You might be wondering what the two large tanks are at the car park side of the indoor school?
A series of twelve sprinklers automatically go on at 12:30am to keep the surface just right. Also environmentally friendly! |

Shows: We run frequent British Dressage shows and others. As you will see from the facilities page we have the right surfaces to make your competition days a success. However we are popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Clinics:We run a full schedule of clinics given by people such as Robert Pickles and others. Go to the events page to find out full details and dates of planned clinics. They
collect rain water from the roof of the indoor school. This
is fed into a third holding tank and feeds automatic sprinklers which are hidden in the
wooden surrounds of the indoor school.
